Customize Your Cup: Print Image on Cup in Singapore

To print an image on a cup in Singapore, Alibaba Printing wraps your photo or logo in full colour around a 330 ml ceramic mug, from SGD 4.00 a mug at the 30-mug minimum down to SGD 3.20 a mug from 501 pieces. The print area is 200 mm x 85 mm, enough to run a picture all the way round the mug, and full colour is included at every quantity, so a photograph costs the same as a one-colour logo.

How much does it cost to print an image on a cup?

SGD 4.00 a mug for 30 to 100 mugs and SGD 3.20 a mug from 501 pieces, with full colour wrap printing included. The minimum order is 30 mugs, SGD 120. The price does not change with the number of colours in the image, so a family photo, a full-colour illustration and a single-colour logo all cost the same. The full rates are on the custom mug printing page.

What size image fits on a mug?

The mug is 330 ml, 95 mm tall and 82 mm in diameter, and the printable area is 200 mm x 85 mm. That is a long, low rectangle: it wraps almost the whole way round, leaving a gap at the handle. Design at the full 200 x 85 mm so the image wraps, or place the image in one or two panels for a mug that shows the same picture to the left-handed and the right-handed drinker.

What image quality do I need?

A sharp photograph at 300 dpi at the printed size, which for the full wrap means roughly 2,400 x 1,000 pixels. Photos taken on a recent phone are usually fine if they are not cropped heavily; images saved from social media or messaging apps are often compressed and print soft. Send the final artwork as an AI or PDF file in CMYK. Faces and text should sit away from the handle gap and at least a few millimetres inside the edge of the print area.

Which inside colours are available?

Nine: white, black, red, yellow, orange, dark blue, light blue, pink and dark green. The outside stays white so the printed image keeps its true colours, and the inside colour picks up the brand or the occasion. Inside-colour mugs are a simple way to make a corporate gift look designed rather than generic.

How long does cup printing take?

From about 6 working days for 30 to 100 mugs, rising with quantity to about 9 working days for larger runs, counted from the day after the artwork is confirmed. Allow extra time around Chinese New Year, Christmas and corporate year-end gifting, when the queue is longest. Each mug is boxed individually, ready to hand out or wrap.

What are printed cups used for?

Corporate gifts and staff welcome packs with a company logo; event and anniversary giveaways; photo gifts for families, teachers and retirements; and cafe or office merchandise. For paper takeaway cups the better product is a printed cup sleeve; see cup sleeve printing.
